On History and Social Media
Abstract
Following an invitation to Dr. Stefania Manca, a researcher at the Institute for Educational Technologies of the CNR (ITD), RiMe publishes this booklet dedicated to the subject of her research: Social Media, in view of their usefulness as powerful and flexible tools capable of promoting educational experimentation. Especially in the production and teaching of History, with the further but not secondary effect to increase in students - but also in other beneficiaries of civil society - their civic participation, especially in the case of Contemporary history, as we well understand thanks to the essays in this issue.
A seguito di un invito alla dott.ssa Stefania Manca, ricercatrice dell’Istituto per le Tecnologie Didattiche del CNR (ITD), RiMe pubblica questo fascicolo dedicato all’oggetto delle sue ricerche: i Social Media, in considerazione della loro utilità come potenti e flessibili strumenti capaci di favorire la sperimentazione didattica appunto. Soprattutto nella produzione e nell’insegnamento della Storia, con l’ulteriore effetto, non secondario, di accrescere negli studenti − ma anche nei restanti beneficiari della società civile − la loro partecipazione civica, specialmente nel caso della storia contemporanea come ben si coglie nei saggi del presente volume.
