Author Guidelines

RiMe. Rivista dell’Istituto di Storia dell’Europa Mediterranea (ISSN 2035-794X) uses OJS, a web-based, automated, submission system to track and review manuscripts.
Manuscripts have to be submitted through the Journal website at the following link.
In preparing their manuscripts, authors are required to refer to the Editorial guidelines (English, Italian).
If you experience any difficulties or have any questions about submitting your manuscript, please contact the journal staff at rime@isem.cnr.it.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

    1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation is provided in the "Comments for the editor" field).
    2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word or RTF document file format.
    3. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Editorial Guidelines (English, Italian).
    4. References are placed at the end of the manuscript. All references are cited in the text article and vice-versa. References are formatted according to the Harvard Style standard.
    5. Manuscript file is anonymous: author’s full name, affiliation, and e-mail address are placed among the submission metadata and not in the article full-text to ensure the integrity of the double blind peer-review.
    6. The submission is not sent in response to a specific Call for Papers, OR it is sent in response to a specific Call for Papers (then a reference to the Call is provided in the "Comments for the editor" field).
