Abstract
This essay is dedicated to the figure of a businessman of great interest and modernity - Ferdinando Maria Perrone - about whom there is an extensive bibliography, observed here, however, especially in the last decade of the nineteenth century and through the articles from the weekly magazine of the Italian Republicans in Argentina: L'Amico del Popolo. Although it is a partisan source, the image provided of the figure and his relationship with the Italian and Argentine political, business and press world is of great interest, especially considering the high level of its articles. Although it is a very negative image, as well as in part that of the Italian community sometimes an accomplice of the manipulations made by personalities such as Perrone and the directors of the main ethnic newspapers. Among them, Basilio Cittadini stands out clearly: on his relationship with Perrone, L'Amico del
Popolo offers new data and different observation perspectives.
Este ensayo está dedicado a la figura de un empresario de gran interés y modernidad – Ferdinando Maria Perrone – sobre quien existe una amplia bibliografía, observado aquí, sin embargo, sobre todo en la última década del siglo XIX y a través de los artículos del semanario de los republicanos italianos en Argentina: L’Amico del Popolo. Aunque sea una fuente partidista, la imagen proporcionada del personaje y su relación con el mundo político, empresarial y periodístico italiano y argentino es de gran interés, sobre todo considerando el alto nivel de sus artículos. A pesar de ser una una imagen muy negativa, como también en parte la de la comunidad italiana a veces víctima a veces cómplice de las manipulaciones hechas por personajes como Perrone y los directores de los principales periódicos étnicos. Entre ellos se destaca netamente Basilio Cittadini: sobre su relación con Perrone, L'Amico del Popolo ofrece nuevos datos y diferentes perspectivas de observación.
