Catalan architecture and identity in Cagliari: elements for new cultural proposals
Abstract
The History of Sardinia, and in particular of its capital, Cagliari, presents a remarkable Aragonese presence which has become part of its inhabitant’s identity. However, this important cultural imprint has not always been taken into account, especially from the point of view of cultural promotion and cultural tourism on the island.
This work analyzes a series of elements and architectural spaces of the Sardinian capital to take into account in order to develop new cultural and touristic proposals from the identity’s point of view.
