Mentalità e prassi mercantili nella francofonia letteraria: le parole dei mercanti di Amin Maalouf
Trade mentalities and practices in francophone literature: the merchants’ words in works by Amin Maalouf
Abstract
Francophone literature is often concerned by human activities. Sometimes the working activity is a theme, other times it gives the décor. Amin Maalouf illustrates merchants’ habits in his novel Le périple de Baldassarre. The author points out dignity, which is deeply rooted at the origin of contemporary relationships among Mediterranean countries.
