The re-edition of a source on Catalan Sardinia: the so-called Repartimiento de Cerdeña
Abstract
The paper illustrates some aspects of Repartimiento de Cerdeña, a fiscal census wrote in 1358, the most important source of information on the administration created by the Crown of Aragon in the newly formed Kingdom of Sardinia. It contains a detailed inventory of fiefs and villages presents in the sardinian and provides interesting information on the nobility who held fiefs, pensions and benefits in the Kingdom.
Il Compartiment de Sardenya o Repartimiento de Cerdeña è un registro tributario che rappresenta la più importante fonte di informazione sul tessuto amministrativo creato dalla Corona d’Aragona nel neo costituito Regno di Sardegna. Questo censimento fiscale, redatto nel 1358, offre l’elenco dettagliato dei feudi e delle ville distribuite nel territorio dell’isola e fornisce notizie interessanti sulla nobiltà che deteneva feudi, rendite e benefici nel regno.
