The Royal Letters by Martin I, King of Aragon, concerning Italy. The reason for the edition of a source
Abstract
The Royal Diplomatic Charters of Martin I, king of Aragon, held in the Archive of the Crown of Aragon in Barcelona, are a collection of heterogeneous documents in unbound charters, which were produced by the royal chancery during the reign of this king or originate from other public or private chanceries, national or foreign from contemporary European states.
The importance of producing an edition of these documents is prompted by the need of making available an historical and political heritage that cannot be recovered from any other collection held in the Italian or Iberian archives.
