Notaries in the service of the Spanish Inquisition in Sardinia in the 16th century
Abstract
The paper offers an overview of the notaries who practiced for Spanish Inquisition first in Cagliari and later in Sassari during the 16th Century. By analyzing documents and reviewing the bibliography available today, we try to outline the profile of some of them.
