Women and Queens in Sardinia between XIII and XIV centuries
Abstract
In Sardinia are female names, alone or associated with male names, that appear in material sources between 10th and 11thcenturies. Perhaps they are the first evidence about women commission in Sardinia connected to noble people. In the following centuries there are various clue that could support the research regarding the gender commission. The investigation on this theme is functional to understand the historical-artistic dynamics in Sardinia Medieval Age through women and queens, more or less known, of Sardinian history too.
