Marzo 1348.
March 1348. The end of the world between fear and prevention in the Italian contemporary Chronicles
Abstract
The paper aims to analyze the texts of some vernacular chronicles narrating the Plague of 1348. Starting from the anonymous Storie pistoresi, a panorama of the “narrative tradition” of the plague within historical texts is traced. Therefore, the paper focuses on the wide diffusion (also in historical texts) of remedies against the plague.
