Foreign media and Arab revolutions (The case of Tunisia)
Abstract
What role did the foreign media in Tunisia during the Revolution? What mechanisms were behind this role? What prospects can be foreseen in this relationship between foreign media and a revolution in motion? These ones are the main questions posed by this paper. The answers are provisional and incomplete because it requires much more time to shed light on the conditions of development of Tunisian revolution and especially of the leak of Ben Ali. However, we may already say that this role goes beyond the primary function of the media involved and includes cultural and political con‐siderations.
