Abstract
Abstract
In the Middle Ages Pisa was at the centre of a net of intense human, commercial and cultural circulation, that also carried cults and relics of saints. The last ones are the most traces of the various links between the christian countries of the Mediterranean Sea. This paper intend to examine from where, when and how cults and relics of saints set in Pisa and in its area in the 8th - 12th Centuries.

Durante il Medioevo Pisa è stata al centro di un’intensa circolazione di uomini, di merci, d’idee: l’arrivo nell’area pisana di culti e reliquie rappresenta uno dei segni più evidenti dei diversi rapporti tra i paesi del Mediterraneo cristiano. Questo saggio intende esaminare la provenienza, la cronologia e l'affermazione dei culti nella città di Pisa e nel suo territorio dall’alto Medioevo al XIII secolo
