Influencia italiana en algunas narradoras mexicanas contemporáneas
Italian influence in some contemporary female Mexican narrators
Abstract
Within the most recent generation of Mexican female writers, direct dialogues with "other" literary traditions are highlighted. In comparison with larger and more complex universes, new perspectives are opened for the authors. This is the case of the writers Zelene Bueno and Gabriela Velázquez which, in the texts Esta casa que soy and En medio de un derrumbe de cielos, respectively, pay openly tribute to Italo Calvino’s Le città invisibili and Antonio Tabucchi’s L’angelo nero. In their stories both open communicating vessels with Italian Literature to nourish a continuous exchange through the imaginary worlds which they rebuild.
