Zadi Zaourou in the prism of his method: the stylistics
Abstract
Very known like poet and dramatist, Zadi Zaourou is as a critic of African inspiration. Formed to the French school of stylistics, Zadi while recognizing his debt towards Bally, Cressot, Jakobson and Parent doesn't have less opened a track of analysis of them on “the language and the critique in black Africa”'. He applies to disassemble that the European expression privileged meant it at the expense of meaning it, and reduced the importance of the rhythm to the minimum. So to the notions jakobsoniennes of the value of the word (delimited inside two axes: the one of the selections and the one of the combinations), Zadi adds a third dimension situated on the axis of the paradigms (or chains) symbolic.
