An Italian traveller in Latin America in times of emancipation: Giuseppe Bocchi
Abstract
There are a lot of travelling experiences foreigners acquired from travelling to America in the hectic 21st century. On the basis of this, I have decided to gather information on Giuseppe Bocchi ´s travels. He was an eccentric Italian, silversmith and mason, who travelled all over the Spanish American territory in the times of the liberal revolutions. Although he did not write down his experiences, we consider him as a traveler of all over the New World, whose experiences are worth recounting since he was able to establish relationships with representatives of the independence in the different countries he visited, and he also participated actively in these events.
