Transmission of revolutionary ideas in the Río de la Plata
Abstract
The May Revolution is inserted in a new conception of State and form of representation that is intended to replace another. The Republican system has written texts in which individual freedom is privileged, voluntary political association and public expression of ideas. Hypotheses: the revolutionary atmosphere used the mechanisms of the Ancien Regime. It focuses on three aspects: the changes in the meaning of some terms, the former political actors and the way they expressed themselves, the way the ideas circulated.
