The profession of ecclesiastical diplomat during a period of change between the 14th and 15th centuries
Abstract
The years between the fourteenth and the fifteenth centuries were years of general upsetting and change in Europe in particular in the Crown of Aragon and in the various areas related to, such as the Kingdom of Sardinia and the Giudicato of Arborea. During these years into the high diplomatic domain between different institutional entities moves a clergyman: Elia de Palmas. In the light of various documentation, we outline the first biographical features of a direct witness and actor of contemporary change in progress.
