The Commissions for the donation in the Parliaments of the Kingdom of Sardinia between the late Middle Ages and the early Modern Age
Abstract
Through the analysis of the Parliaments acts of the kingdom of Sardinia, between the fourteenth and sixteenth centuries, we examine the role of the different commissions and we raise some issues concerning the Tractatores, in particular with regard to the definition of donation and the criteria of the levy. We suggest some research paths to study the political and institutional role of this organism.
