La presse d’expression italienne en Égypte. De 1845 à 1950
The italian Press in Egypt. From 1845 to 1950
Abstract
The historiography of the European press in Egypt immediately shows the crucial role played by the French and Italian languages. It is a very diversified press, which represents a documentary source of historical and cultural value, because it helps us to better reconstruct the history of foreign communities, particularly the European ones, their relations with Egypt over the last two centuries. As Umberto Rizzitano rightly pointed out, the Italian periodical press is "an indispensable document for rebuilding the events linked to the history of the Italian Colony of Egypt.
