Abstract
This research is the synthesis of a project including a study on the development of fascist activity in some associations of the Italian community in Argentina. In this case, the analysis of this presence is carried out in an institution - ethnic in its origin - born in Buenos Aires on 28 December 1898. The primary sources are its publications, Bulletins and Magazine.
Since the period of study and the materials we have are extremely abundant and widespread, we have limited our selection to several articles relating to some relevant aspects of the development of relations between the Italy of the “Ventennio” (the twenty-year Fascist era), through diplomatic and consular representatives, and this traditional club of Buenos Aires, in the framework offered by events such as the invasion of Ethiopia and the creation of the Empire, the frequent reception of 'distinguished' visitors and the festivities and meetings of fascist charities.
Esta investigación es síntesis de un proyecto que contempla un estudio de los vaivenes de la actividad fascista en algunas asociaciones de la colectividad italiana en la Argentina. En este caso, se trata del análisis de esa presencia en una institución, étnica en su origen, nacida en Buenos Aires el 28 de diciembre de 1898. Las fuentes primarias son sus publicaciones, Boletines y Revista.
Dado que el período en estudio y los materiales con que contamos son abundantes y sumamente extensos, fijamos nuestra selección en notas referidas a algunos aspectos salientes del desarrollo de la relación entre la Italia del Ventennio a través de sus representantes diplomáticos y consulares, y este tradicional club porteño, en el marco que ofrecen acontecimientos como la invasión a Etiopía y la creación del imperio; la frecuente recepción de visitantes “ilustres” y las reuniones de beneficencia fascista.
