Immigració interior i moviment associatiu a Mallorca: dels anys Cinquanta a l'actualitat
Internal immigration and associative movement in Majorca: from the Fifties to the present
Abstract
The Balearic Islands and Majorca in particular received a large manpower coming from the Peninsula during the years of the tourism development. The island society underwent a progressive change in its basic structures, while immigrant collectives were organised into specific associations that were supposed to allow them to maintain through mainly cultural and recreational activities the features of their source community. It is a specific form of socialisation that still persists today in the island.
