Opposizione, seduzione, realismo: l’Italia quattrocentesca e l’Impero ottomano tra realpolitik, prospettiva umanistica e testimonianze oculari. Conclusioni
Opposition, seduction, realism: 15th-century Italy and the Ottoman Empire between realpolitik, humanist perspective, and eyewitness accounts. Conclusions
Abstract
The conclusions underline the ambiguity of the Italian powers' approach towards the Turks, often exploited to take advantage of each other and obtain absolute supremacy in the peninsula. Furthermore, the contributions are reviewed, capturing their main theses.
