Decision-making processes, participation and roles of the members of the Domus Misericordiae in Siena, through the notarial sources of the late 13th century (1283-1296)
Abstract
This paper aims to offer an overview of the administrative structure and social composition of the Domus Misericordiae in Siena in the XIII century through the analysis of deliberative acts attesting to the activity of the Chapter of friars, cooperating with the rector in the management of the institution.
Il contributo propone una panoramica sulla struttura amministrativa e composizione sociale della Domus Misericordiae di Siena nel Duecento, attraverso l’analisi degli atti deliberativi del Capitolo dei frati cooperante con il rettore nella gestione dell’ente.
