Religion and society in Trapani in the 14th century: charities and religious foundations intra and extra moenia. Analysis and study of an unpublished documentary complex
Abstract
Il saggio si focalizza su una parte della ricerca dottorale di cui attualmente mi occupo. La mia indagine si prefigge come obiettivo la ricostruzione storica del santuario dell’Annunziata di Trapani dalla fondazione ai successivi sviluppi (sec. XIII-XIV).
La ricerca propone come punto di partenza l’analisi di un complesso documentario inedito, un cospicuo fondo di pergamene custodito presso la Biblioteca Fardelliana di Trapani.
Il mio contributo si articolerà su tre punti cardini: analisi del fondo, presentazione dei primi dati rilevati, relative trascrizioni.
The essay presents part of my doctoral research, currently undergoing. The aim is to present an historical reconstruction of the shrine of Annunziata of Trapani from its foundation to later developments (13th-14th c.).
The study takes as a starting point the analysis of an unpublished, documentary complex as the large holding of parchments of the Biblioteca Fratelliana of Trapani.
My article develops three main aspects: the analysis of the documents, the discussion of the first data recorded, and related transcriptions.
