Abstract
Franca Masu, interprete e autrice in catalano, in sardo, in italiano, in spagnolo e in portoghese, è la portavoce della scena musicale e della cultura catalana d’Alghero a livello nazionale e internazionale. La cantante si è impegnata personalmente e professionalmente nella riscoperta e nel rilancio dell’identità e del profilo storico di Alghero, L’Alguer, diventando «la voce catalana della Sardegna» e profondendo nuova linfa in un sostrato culturale a rischio di estinzione.
Franca Masu, singer and songwriter in Catalan, Sardinian, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese, is the spokesperson for the musical scene and the Catalan culture of Alghero, nationally and internationally. The singer has dedicated her life and career to the rediscovery and the revival of the identity and the historical profile of L’Alguer, becoming «the Catalan voice of Sardinia» and providing new nourishment for a cultural environment that was facing the risk of extinction.
