Abstract

The article "Artistic Postmodernity and History" answers the question: Why is History a major issue in postmodernity? It introduces the relationship that postmodernity has with History by addressing the trial of the philosophy of History by the postmodern turn. She points out that the articulation between artistic Postmodernity and History has become problematic. By initiating a profound change in values ​​in artistic forms and practices, History finds itself trapped in a presentism that will play at deconstructing, blurring, and confusing in order to better relativize. This is how postmodernity undermines any ability to grasp and understand history, removing any possibility of understanding the past but also of projecting oneself into the future. Through the sociocritical analysis of three case studies of postmodern and then deconstructivist architecture, the article leads to the heart of the aesthetics of relativism specific to kitsch. History is thus instrumentalized as a simple reservoir from which one can simply draw images, texts and theories for the purposes of decorum or entertainment.

L'articolo "Postmodernità artistica e storia" risponde alla domanda: perché la storia è una questione importante nella postmodernità? Introduce il rapporto che la postmodernità ha con la storia, affrontando la sfida della filosofia della storia attraverso la svolta postmoderna. Sottolinea che l'articolazione tra postmodernità artistica e storia è diventata problematica. Avviando un profondo cambiamento di valori nelle forme e nelle pratiche artistiche, la storia si ritrova intrappolata in un presentismo che giocherà a decostruire, offuscare e confondere per meglio relativizzare. È così che la postmodernità mina ogni capacità di cogliere e comprendere la storia, eliminando ogni possibilità di comprendere il passato ma anche di proiettarsi nel futuro. Attraverso l'analisi sociocritica di tre casi di studio di architettura postmoderna e poi decostruttivista, l'articolo conduce al cuore dell'estetica del relativismo propria del kitsch. La storia viene così strumentalizzata come un semplice serbatoio da cui attingere immagini, testi e teorie a fini di decoro o di intrattenimento.
